Every Thorsby is handcrafted in Southwestern Ontario by Branch Architectural Systems, using the highest grade of sustainable materials and built to exceed residential construction standards. The design is informed by Scandinavian architecture — minimal yet enduring.
It arrives fully assembled, delivered and placed by your trusted local Arctic Spas team. All that’s left is the electrical connection and your first session.
Thermally modified wood is chosen for its sustainable footprint and exceptional durability. Lunawood Arctic is prefinished in grey, designed to age gracefully with zero maintenance.
Premium metal roofing completes the shell, in a designer-selected colour tone paired to the cladding.
Produced using only heat and steam, so it’s chemical-free with no off-gassing while your sauna is in use. With moisture and resin removed, it also stays comfortable to the touch when heated.
Built to exceed residential construction standards. Mineral wool insulation and a vapour barrier hold heat exceptionally well, so the sauna comes up to temperature fast.

Two full six-foot bench levels, long enough to lie back and stretch out.
A 7.5 kW HUUM DROP heater with a glass Wi-Fi controller. Easy to use, with plenty of stone surface to generate a soft steam.
An exterior sconce and interior LED bench lighting. The LEDs are Wi-Fi controlled, so you can set your perfect ambiance.
Prefinished grey cladding with a Mist Grey metal roof. Maintenance-free.
Finished with Rubio Duragrit and paired with a Charcoal metal roof. Refinish every 5–7 years to hold its colour.
Clear grade with no knots, on all interior surfaces.
Batten profile for walls and ceiling, with a smooth profile for the floor.
Premium cedar, selected for its traditional aroma.
For when a cedar aroma isn’t wanted, or to match a Thermal Pine interior.

Every Thorsby is built in Southwestern Ontario by Branch Architectural Systems. Lunawood cladding is produced in Finland, all other wood is produced in Canada, and HUUM heaters are manufactured in Europe. All other materials come from local suppliers.
We recommend a level pad of stone or concrete where the sauna will sit. Depending on its distance from your nearest power source, a new power line may be needed, and that work must be done by a licensed electrical contractor. We’ll provide detailed site specifications after purchase.
Your local Arctic Spas team handles delivery from start to finish. They’ll reach out ahead of time to make sure your site is ready and answer any questions. Most deliveries require a crane, which our team will arrange.
Usually not for the building itself. The Thorsby is designed to fall under the footprint at which most municipalities require a building permit, but always confirm your local requirements. The electrical connection does require an ESA permit, which your licensed electrical contractor will file.
Lunawood cladding carries a 20-year durability warranty, the metal roof a 30-year manufacturer warranty, and the HUUM heater a 5-year limited warranty.
Very little is required. Clean the interior occasionally with a damp cloth and mild soap, and never use harsh chemicals or anything scented. The exterior can be rinsed with a garden hose, much like your home; never use a pressure washer. Lunawood Arctic cladding is maintenance-free. The optional Thermal Ash exterior is a stained product and needs a fresh coat every 5–7 years to maintain its colour.
